In Smythe Park there is a First Nations meeting place along Carrying Place. A medicine garden and a bur oak planted by the community with ceremonies are there. When in the park please stop by and remember the children. Truth and Reconciliation

The water is very low throughout the Humber River watershed. This is very concerning for the salmon's ability to migrate. If highway 413 is built it will cut through the headwaters of the Humber River which could lead to less water entering the main Humber. Please do not build hwy 413.

Water in Black Creek is polluted & the ponds in Smythe Park are with blue green algae & probably cyanotoxins. This is dangerous to all animals including humans. 5 turtles died in Smythe park this year & Topham pond had a fish die off recently. What is going on? Attend this event to learn more.

This was a lovely and informative event in Smythe Park. Chi Migwetch Grandmother Vivian for teaching us how to braid sweetgrass and so much more. It was extra special to do it with sweetgrass from the medicine garden, where Carrying Place meets Black Creek.

It was beautiful being along the Humber River yesterday clearing litter with the Toronto Nature Stewards. Many people also found their sanctuary there along the banks, relaxing & reflecting. We are so fortunate to have this river in Toronto, we must protect it. #stophwy413 #watersheds

So sad to see the tree damage in Peterborough, Ontario this weekend and so many homes still without power from the ice storm.

Protect our watersheds! This fire sent contamination to Black Creek, Humber River & Lake Ontario. They are located on Rockcliffe Court where C of T allowed them to build on the floodplain in the worst flooded area in #Toronto. Get off the floodplain! CofT owns most of Rockcliffe & should get off too
