I dont think this will be any more of a competitor for Steam Deck than the existing ROG Allys already are. It still remains to be seen how "impressive" their build of Win11 is compared to the one shipped on multiple handhelds already.

Now I'm imagining a world where Deadly Premonition 2 was delayed or ported over to a device with more powerful hardware.

I hope this means that Wild Hearts as an IP isn't dead. It had its flaws on PS5 for sure, but it was a fun take on monster hunting with plenty of room to build on.

I am a bit curious about the SSD requirement and the higher performance requirements needed for 720p 30fps, considering this is largely a PS4 game IIRC.

It doesn't sound like the people at Xbox know what to do with Muse/WHAM. Phil thinks its going to be some revolutionary way to preserve older games, while the people in the video think it's only going to be used as a quick way to iterate on concepts/prototypes and they can care less about it.

I'm still going in with low expectations, but so far it definitely seems promising and closer to the Battlefield I hoped 2042 was.

I'm excited that they may actually go through with it, but I'd be very bummed if Donnie Yen is not attached to it. He seemed very enthusiastic for the role and even during COVID still seemed to try hard for years to get the ball rolling.

Nvidia I can see since I heard their drivers were proprietary for a while (though greatly improved), but Intel holding back SteamOS is odd. I thought their dedicated GPUs had Linux support.

I remember hearing about the planned movie years ago. Shame that they didn't even try and adapt it to a streaming series, it just feels like this IP is definitively dead in Square's eyes.

Hooked on Monster Hunter World like crazy. Even though I'm very late to the party, it's a nice pick up and play game that's easy to sink dozens of hours into. And that's just in the base game alone!

Even if I didn't already own a PS5, its just too hard of a sell. Miniscule CPU improvements for platform parity like last gen, and not even including an internal disk drive...I sure hope physical doesn't go away next gen or is sold back to us as a bonus "accessory".
