There is a portion of the Canadian conservative base heavily invested in Trumpism. If Mark Carney becomes the new leader of the Liberal party, there is a chance most conservatives would move away from the Pierre Poilevre circus and vote Liberal instead, just to preserve a sense of normalcy.
