At the Vuelta 2025 I left my camera on manual focus at infinity distance as the team time trial bore down on me. Needless to say, the best framed shots are totally out of focus.

I added a Panasonic zs-99 to have a small camera handy. Not sure about the price in Europe. Wide zoom, excellent focus and built in flash. 20MP. Very handy to keep at hand.

Absolutely cycling should have jerseys with riders names on them for sale. The UCI should issue season long permanent numbers to riders which should appear on the lower back and the sleeves. And rider names should also be on the sleeves so that fans and viewers can identify riders!

I wonder if one of the A.I. image engines could apply names to riders in photos? Would be very useful for me!

Even with a start list I have to make sure to get a photo with the bib number to identify most riders
