Looking for a bedtime book about the moon landing to read with my son. 7/11 of the top results on Amazon appear to be moon landing conspiracism.

P. S. Yes I know Amazon products are evil. But I have a voucher to use.

Visiting a site for Camp Quest UK 2026 on my way home from QED. It's a breathtaking drive through the Peak District, in/out of the rain clouds. It's a beautiful backdrop to reflect on the inspiration and optimism of this weekend, a perfect place to Question, Understand, Explore, Search and Test.

In the QED panel on White Christian Nationalism, my question would have been how to shake the UK secular liberal complacency, and 'it can't happen here' attitude to take this issue seriously. There's a lot of smug superiority in thinking it's 'only' an American problem being imported over here.

My son always likes updates on what trains I get and quizze me on the operator, no. of carriages and platform numbers. As I drove to @qedcon.org I've sent him pictures of the lifts with details of the number of floors. He's very happy with them.

I've always liked the @qedcon.org logo and should add it to my talk on the history of secular orgs' graphic design. The mix of question and explanation marks evokes the exciting learning, and combining in a location marker shows the importance of in-person community. humanistdad.uk/2021/05/03/h...

I've done a bit of a redesign of my Humanist Dad website, to better set out my community building and parenting content, as well as my podcast appearances and professional content. I'd love some feedback before I decide whether or not to change it back.

My son is excited about a new bus route so we made these poster. Slight design fail on my part. I now need to explain why he can't put these up in the window, or take them in to show his class.🤦‍♂️

In my defence, the bus route symbols didn't look like s*****kas till they were cropped and coloured in.

I had a great time in the atmosphere section at my first WSL game. Fantastic community feeling at the Broadfield Stadium for Brighton's game against Villa. Slightly disappointing result 0-0 in a game the Seagulls mostly dominated.

Absolutely incredible atmosphere for the kick off of the Euro 2025 final. Hoping England's Lionesses can relive their success of 3 years ago. The screening was preceded by the Play With Pride trophy presentation and an important message about the importance of inclusion in sport.

The atmosphere at these Euro 2025 screenings has been building every time. Trouble finding a seat, but settled and excited. Hopefully we'll give ITV's reaction cameras plenty to use. And I've even discovered a Brighton women's team (Shegulls) podcast - just what I didn't know I wanted. #WEuro2025

I watched almost all of England's Euro 22 on my small phone in a dark hospital room. Following England's #Euro2025 on the big screen has bought up a lot of big feelings, and reflections on the connective power of sport.

Looking forward to England vs. Wales at Euro 2025. Continuing to love the atmosphere at The Terrace. I've seen more live football over the last few years, but it's generally become a more isolated individual experience watching at home on phone or laptop. I've missed that pub/bar inbetween space.

At Brighton stadium to watch England's must win Euro 2025 game against Holland and feeling a twinge of superstition. Obviously my choice of t-shirt and venue has no impact on the match. But sport gives us ways to play with ideas of luck, superstition and even prayer without taking it too seriously.

Very kind of Steve Ghikadis to send me a copy of his book on building bridges beyond belief. It's a heartening account of the opportunities, relationships and connections that can come from a humanist life where you follow your curiosity and strive to be kind. buff.ly/TFAMK8N

Great atmosphere and cool venue at The Terrace, Brighton stadium, waiting for England's Euro 2025 defence to kick off. My social battery is at 0% But being surrounded by people all excited to cheer on the same cause is still a powerful feeling.

It's such a great series for explaining social justice ideas in a really accessible, age appropriate way. The story can be easily digested from ages 3, and the additional information at the back can be read with an older child, or help parents think about what questions the main story raises.

Finished my son's half term Lego project. It's amazing how many skills it practices: dexterity, maths, storytelling & emotional regulation. Not gender labeling sets gives him so much freedom. Meanwhile I need to work on different forms of being present as his skills & support needs change. #DadLife

#DadLife halfterm holiday survival included a SEN Trainmaster session at Southwick Library. Libraries are such brilliant hubs for communities & a lifeline for parents. They do such a brilliant job of inclusion. Could libraries play a bigger role in addressing our misinformation & alienation crisis?
