How about Jeremiah Johnson? A more beautiful film I’ve never seen. And he produced and directed some great movies too – Ordinary People and A River Runs Through It, for example.

Spent a lot of my youth in the distant suburbs of Philadelphia, where no self-respecting ice cream vendor would bother to venture, but for a few years in the '60's we lived just inside the DC beltway. I still reach for some silver every time I hear that Good Humor music.

Saw this in the theater in 1984 when I was doing work in the southwest. I've never been quite the same.
