Humans in France don't seem to care about the appaerances of their houses. It has always intrigued me. Today I took some pictures of windows in the city Moulins in the heart of France. It seems that with most of the houses the first floor isn't used, on the second floors I saw open shutters.

A good thing coming from Iraq. Saigal was one of the largest Marsh Arab villages, with around 50,000 residents, before it was destroyed by Saddam Hussein. They are now restoring the land and buildings. Did you know Iraq even had marsh lands?

This is truely a cooking gem. Normally when you see video's of food that is prepared in large quantities, I feel some resentment, INOX kettles, everything made by machines. Not here, this is homecooking, but then for thousands. By hand and almost naked men.
