I wonder how the tobacco lobby feels about this guy bombing purveyors of products that kill Americans?

To clarify, the wording "8% to 12% more" is an 8 to 12% increase on the current rate. It is not additive.

Example, a 12% increase on a current 8% tax rate is:

0.08 + (0.08 * 0.12) = 0.08 + 0.0096 = 0.0896 = 8.96%

In cases of direct democracy, citizens can ammend their state's constitution (eg: Michigan ballot initiative re: abortion). If the state does not allow for this, the 10A still provides power to the people through the ability to elect / impeach their local politicians.

🧵

I didn't ignore that part, but what you're implying isn't how that works. The 10th amendment doesn't provide an avenue for citizens to disregard the state's authority. In some states' constitutions there are provisions for "direct democracy" for the citizens.

A family earning $50k that pays $12k for a private plan would only pay $6K using your 12%, which is a net savings. And there's no evidence the standard deduction would need to go away.

Your billionaire tax is misleading. The money being taxed is excess profit, not the money being spent on research.

Um... If you, the government, think anti-fascists are a threat, doesn't that reflect more poorly on you, the government, than them?

I mean why would anti-fascists target non-fascists?

Summary:

Essentially Nvidia invested in OpenAI using OpenAI's own money laundered through a middleman, known as round-tripping where companies pass around the same pot of money to inflate valuation (aka, fraud).

Guys, give her the benefit of the doubt. If you've ever been to a nursing home or infusion center, elderly patients often shake hands with all the nurses and staff.

The chiron says "AI executive order" but this EO preempts states from passing AI regulation. Seems like this violates the 10A because given the SC position in Dobbs, AI like abortion, is not an enumerated right so it should be left to the states.

Impeachment would require a supermajority or it will end up like Trump's impeachments - failing on party lines.

But term limits are a no-brainer. The US essentially has 9 kings and queens and given how lazy the confirmation process is, there needs to be a way to rotate out those who lack integrity.
December 12, 2025 at 2:45 AM
🧵

In Dobbs, the SC incorrectly used 10A as a bludgeon to extract abortion from 14A based on it not being enumerated. They ignored the actual 14A enumerated right of life and liberty for the mother, which can now be taken away by the states. It's unusual for a state to be able to take away rights.
December 12, 2025 at 2:40 AM
🧵

Using the 14A is the most logical because the 10A allows depriving women of an enumerated right.

The 10A is the state's rights argument, which is then subject to usurpation by the supremacy clause if Congress and states should pass conflicting laws and Congress decided to enforce their version.
December 12, 2025 at 2:40 AM
This might be true if they weren't overturning their own precedent and being hypocritical.

On one hand they say the 14A doesn't explicitly mention abortion so therefore it isn't covered, on the other they give the Executive immunity despite it not explicitly being in the Constitution.

The solution is when Democrats take back congress/president, for them to use their Article III powers to limit the Supreme Court's jurisdiction and procedures.

Congress can remove the shadow docket (which is procedural) and remove certain types of cases from their review.

I wish MAGA wasn't so gullible...

"Biden came to power at a time when the inflationary consequences of the previous administration [..] emerged with a vengeance. Thus, inflation rose from 1.4% in Jan 2021 to 9.1% in Jun 2022, after which it declined to 3.0% percent"

What about the 20-something other videos posted to X and "Truth" Social? How about the video of them stealing a Venezuelan oil tanker?

Is he implying that the only military operation executed in the past few weeks that has "methods and sources" is the one where surrendering people were killed?

I think the only solution is to start a "Sick Kings Rally" where millions of sick people go to their local ER at the same time.

EMTALA requires hospitals to administer emergency care regardless of ability to pay. It's time to overwhelm the system to force Congress to fix it.

Republicans are the ones who broke the ACA when they sued to remove the mandate.

People seem to lack a basic understanding of how pooled risk works. Systems like this require healthy enrolees who don't use the system as often as someone who is sick. It makes it affordable for everyone.

I don't think this guy has a clue how the US healthcare system works. Citizens are already consumers - of insurance. The reason they don't disclose contractual prices with doctors is because people would see how much of their annual insurance cost goes toward CEO boats and houses.

Too bad these people spend so much time banning books rather than reading them, cows *contribute* to climate change.
