You mean the bunching at the waist? Usually the lanyard is attached to the opposite shoulder to help level the weight of the pistol. Maybe he was left handed?

My best friend in life's father was part of the follow on wave. He was at Bastogne and luckily survived. He raised many sons and daughters, among them my bestie. He was quite the musician and a very nice person to me when I was a lad. D-Day was truly a forge and/or crucible for that generation.

I just cancelled my subscription to the The Economist. Well written but every single story is about the orange doofus. I understand its considered news, but please find something else in this gigantic world to write and report on.
