Cahitan, Tarahumaran and Numic branches use puuku* to note an animal they own, a pet. But none of the three branches uses the word as a synonym for ''dog''. Is this an indicator that the PUA had knowledge of domestcated vs wild dogs or did they domesticate something else other than dogs?
