I have some things I'm working on in the background! I'm excited this project is taking flight soon.

So a big part of character design is studies and research. For me lion studies will be part of my studies and research section for the creation of a leonine character, for dungeons and dragons.

Today I have started this portrait, I'm taking a bit of a different approach to this study. I started with solid brush strokes as you can still kind of see at the bottom, now I'm smoothing things and blending. I'm excited to see where this one goes.

I finished one and started the next! Hopefully everyone is doing well. I tend to paint in the background first before starting the sketch.

So it's the first month of 2025 and I remember an English project I had to do for school years back. This year I kind of want to do it again.

The assignment was a year book with a visual entry for every week of the year.

I will do mine in a sketchbook and draw my pages, who wants to join me?

Today I completed my first portrait study of the year! I wonder how much I will improve this year! Happy new year everyone.
