Still can’t believe I missed this one when it came out. Absolutely crazy film!

Her breath quickens. Hands tremble against the wheel. She slams the brakes. The GPS glows in the darkness. GPS VOICE (V.O.) Destination in two hundred yards. Victoria turns it off. Silence. Just her breath. Just her racing heart... EXT. FOREST - NIGHT The car door creaks open. Victoria steps out. Swallowed by the dark. Her steps are careful. Controlled. Ears tuned for any sound. EXT. CHARLIE'S CABIN - NIGHT It stands under the moonlight. Familiar. Unchanged. Victoria stares. Frozen. The door bursts open -- And VICTORIA runs out. But not this Victoria. The past Victoria. Terrified. Disheveled. Broken. She sprints into the trees. Blurring past Present Victoria. Then -- gone. Victoria watches herself disappear into the night. Her expression unreadable. FADE IN: EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING - DAY Pouring rain smashes the facade of a tall, decaying building. Cracks snake across its surface. Paint peels like skin. The windows are black and blind. The street around it is lifeless. A dead pocket of the city. Forgotten. Rotting. A place for cheap rent and isolation. EXT. STREET - DAY Across the street, a subway entrance gapes open. The stairs glisten wet. Empty. Silent. A FIGURE emerges. NEVE (28). Frail. Eyes haunted and scanning. A bruise of exhaustion under each one. She pulls her coat tighter as she steps into the rain, blinking hard against the downpour. Her gaze darts up and down the block -- buildings hollowed out, no lights in any windows. Then she sees it. The building. She hesitates. Just for a breath. Then bolts across the street. EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING - DAY Neve hurries under the shelter of the porch. The wind HOWLS around her. I pride myself in regularly finding some British genre gems, but I can’t explain how I missed out on ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE for so long.

I mean, it checks all the boxes:

Zombie apocalypse: yes
Christmas time: yes
Gore effects: sure do!
Catchy songs: damn right
