Does anyone else remember D.E.B.S.? That not-very-good-but-surprisingly-sharply-written spy-comedy about lesbian spies? I had completely forgotten about it but now it's been added to the Criterion Channel and I'm going to relive my childhood.

Replaying Fallout 1 as a low-intelligence character, and it's wild that they re-wrote all the dialogue in the game for this one build, and it's consistently hilarious.

Yeah the Liberal Democrats strongly stood up for trans rights by backing the transphobic Supreme Court ruling.

Rivers of Blood references? In *YOUR* Labour Party? It's more likely than you think...

Honestly, are we surprised that Starmer is dogwhistling fascists now?

I’m not sure we’ve ever had a more politically illiterate government or press. This BBC journalist thinks the problem for Labour is comms and aesthetic: they don’t look busy enough. But “projecting” activity doesn’t materially improve peoples lives, and without any real plans, what can they deliver?

The Labour Party is now going to publish rankings of different nationalities based on the crimes they commit.

Who needs Reform when you have Labour?

LOST HIGHWAY (1997). While many of its best ideas would be revisited in Mulholland Dr more successfully, there is a genuine menace and terror to LH that show Lynch at his best. Thematically its undercooked but visually and tonally its electric. 6/10, but a good 6/10.

ERASERHEAD (1977), David Lynch.
Lynch's cinematic command is evident from film one, and many core Lynch themes are already apparent (post-War capitalist suburbia, the repressed, sexuality etc.). More European in pacing and aesthetic than his later works, but spellbinding nonetheless. 8/10.
