Because as several people have pointed out here, the word 'ambush' has connotations that you say you aren't referring to, as in an attack. And yet when the possible confusion is pointed out multiple times, you give no quarter. Is it me who cares so deeply, or is it you? This is worthy of clarity.

Surely you understand what you're doing when you use the word ambush for someone who is actually just calling out the truth. You seem disingenuous in your observation when you pretend that nuance isn't there. 'Ambush' has distinctly negative connotations and you seem to use it very purposefully.
