Great article. Same thing happening with heat pumps. Our heating system failed three weeks ago in our finished basement. $2k tax credit expires 12/31. We got three similar quotes, only one could guarantee to meet the 12/31 deadline. System up and running yesterday.

Alexander Godunov in Die Hard. Lead dancer in the BolshI Ballet, defected and was amazing in that movie. Died at a tragic young age (45). Perfect bad guy sideman for Alan Rickman’s Hans.

Unless you are buying food that needs to be refrigerated, Costco.com is a much smarter way to spend time this weekend. That said, I ordered a bundle of TP Thursday night and got a delayed shipping notice Friday morning.

If you check Tesla’s “coming soon” chargers on their “Find Us” page they appear to be building a lot of chargers near airports…adding chargers near EWR, BOS, DCA, MIA, etc.

Agree on the utilization point, but a fair number of cars here are likely ride share drivers given proximity to Newark Airport. Near major airports you’ll see full supercharger sites at times you wouldn’t normally expect them to be busy. Might be related to: www.uber.com/us/en/drive/...

Tesla now, needed it for access to Superchargers when we bought. Now I have a day 1 reservation on a Rivian R2, but also pondering other options should Rivian stumble - fingers crossed they don’t. I also expect there to be a lot of attractive off lease options in the used market in 2026.
