I might die of internal bleeding such is the volume of blood oozing from my heart for these poor people.
Many Americans bought their first houses when mortgage rates dipped to record lows during the pandemic. Some are ready to move but feel locked in by their low rates.

You can bet your ass that Viagra (100% of which is manufactured in Ireland) is on that list.
Trump struck a deal for Pfizer to lower the price of some of its drugs while clearing a path for the pharmaceutical giant to receive a three-year reprieve from certain tariffs.
Pfizer, Trump strike drug pricing deal
The deal is a victory for Trump who has pressured drugmakers to voluntarily comply with his policy priorities. If not, they will likely face regulation or high tariffs.

Meanwhile, the average age of the Irish car park is languishing at about 9 years, our EV infrastructure is pitiful and EVs themselves are outside the budget of many car buyers.

Yes, this makes total sense.
Dublin City Council is considering cheaper parking for EVs, a price rise for residential permit parking, and more. For those in a central yellow zone, annual residential permit parking fees could go up from €50 a year to €225, a council briefing suggests.

Let's just be clear.

If you wait until you have enough Re-Turn recycling that you need a trolley to bring all the bags you have, and then pick a time when the supermarket is sure to be busy, you are in fact, a dick.

Reprehensible drivel.

If you're doing your Re-Turn recycling and wait til you have 5 bags worth of recycling (over €50 of deposit returns) to do in one sitting, on a Sunday afternoon, you're a dick.

The question that should be asked is if it would have been a better idea for Wales, Scotland and Italy to tour to play teams like Portugal and Georgia?

Yes Ireland are missing a swathe of their first XV, but for the development of countries like Portugal and Georgia these games are important.

Time for the May's Four Interesting Things.

The current US administration (regime?) provided many stories but only one makes the list this month.

Instead we look at the impact of AI on Ireland's economy, delays in plane deliveries, the US national debt and Microsoft.

Feedback always welcomed!

My 7 year old son has become obsessed with Pokémon cards. This was never a thing for me so I'm lost.

Apart from picking up packs in the newsagents what kind of packs, in the slightly more expensive and therefore having "better" cards should I look for? Amazon links maybe?

Please help! #pokemon

Monaco has long been the most boring of F1 races. The course doesn't suit the cars of today. It may well be the crown jewel of the season in terms of people wanting to go to it, but for punters watching at home (e.g. the vast majority) it's boring. Perhaps it's time to rethink it entirely?
F1 added a mandatory second pit stop at Monaco, hoping for better racing. What it got was strategic manipulation and a lot of frustrated drivers.

So what's next to make Monaco interesting?

@madelinecoleman.bsky.social on why the fix flopped and what the drivers want ⤵️

If Trump is lifting sanctions you can be sure it's not for the benefit of Syria. Watch American companies roll in to make billions on the rebuilding of Syrian infrastructure
Breaking News: President Trump met President Ahmed al-Shara of Syria, the White House said, a day after announcing the U.S. would lift sanctions on the country.

That is an absolutely disgusting decision. It was a retaliation, it was intentional and he hit his head. It wasn't a "rugby incident" it was a violent reaction.

I'm disgusted. And the bunker needs to take a long hard look at themselves and the message they just sent #FRAvSCO

Not sure what mitigation there is there. He lunged at him on the ground and hit him head on head. That's a red. All day. Every day. #fravsco

Laid off over 250 staff members, cut canteen spending, announced significant revenue and EBITDA (23% drop) for the last quarter, no European football, an astronomical wage bill and closer to the relegation zone than European qualification. But spending billions on a new stadium seems logical.

Seeing the hate for Prendergast is quite something. Guy has a massive future ahead of him (barring injury). Dropping him against Italy would be the totally wrong thing to do.

So many posts from Americans suggesting everything is going to be fine and just buy American beer/cars etc.

A lot of Americans don't seem to understand supply chains and things like Barley, wood pulp, oil and car components are imported.

E.G. over 25% of US refinery is of Canadian oil

Have seen a lot posts on Irish defence spend being against our neutrality. Poppycock.

Defending infrastructure means things like a deterrent against Russian ships entering our territorial waters. Trivial until you're reminded that our connectivity comes from cables under those waters.

Every month I compile a short list of some of the things I've seen that I think are interesting. They come from the world of sport, transport, media and business in general.

It's called 4 Interesting Things, and I publish it on LinkedIn. And now here too.

The Ringrose ban seems about right TBF, but there is a lot of unhappy fans in France regarding his ability to include a URC match in his ban length. Which is fair.

But let's be clear. Ringrose's tackle cannot be compared to Ntamack's "tackle". Ntamack got off very lightly

I have the beginnings of an idea for a blog post. First in ages.

So I'm looking for your examples of horrendous cust service enabled by or driven by AI.

If you have screenshots that's even better.

Thanks
