As far as I know that is the past and the National BAER Coordinator and her team have steered away from that. Happy to dig in if that perception persists (including if it is actually happening)

Understand, been hearing the same thing for years, or decades actually, and we have a harder and harder time getting quality folks to do BAER assessments…sigh.

Ever any thought to promoting hazard pay for field going BAER assessment employees? I have done BAER and prescribed fire and BAER is clearly more hazardous and less controllable.

I was working for the American people until you stopped that. You. You are hurting USDA and the American people we are trying to serve. Wake up

The Lab also does a lot to address utilization so less wood is left on the landing or at the mill and more is utilized in products where normally concrete, steel, or plastic would be used.

Agree, big suck all around but I need to clarify the Forest Products Lab is not “industry’s.” The work done there is revolutionary and is more about greening construction, manufacturing, and packaging and fighting climate change.

Learn something about fire before saying baseless things that are not related. Also, learn something about the timber industry before opining about what has impacted it in the last 25 years. And lastly learn something about the roadless rule and what came before it…learn something please

Please stop resharing lies…

I’ve seen that propane tank on the pumice plain. It likely rafted south and was stranded during one of the extended tunnel closures during repairs.

Happy to see the fruits of the Biden administration and many career employees bear out for you and the Trump Administration. Congrats

I don’t understand why she is smiling and gleeful… it petty and wasteful to hurt farmers regardless of their gender and sexual orientation.

While I don’t know Dee personally I have heard this wasn’t something she chose either. I fully recognize this is much worse for those that were terminated. We all need to recognize the folks doing the actual firing hated being put in this role but tried to do their best to soften the blow.

I don’t believe they exist…

Be sure to get the OT authorization in writing before charging it (don’t want to give them an excuse…)
