Supply chains are complex. Take this fictitious example. The actual cost to make the jeans is about $15. By the time it gets to you, it’s 6x to 7x higher because everyone adds markup for profit, risk, logistics, and branding. (1/2)

Small business owners: disruption in running a small business is a given. Businesses will thrive during this time, other businesses will fail. Strategic pivots will happen. Look for those that support you, pivot if necessary, and always keep your eye on solving problems for your customer.
