So happy to see my book The Reckoning on the Center for Multicultural Literature's Best Books of 2024. The Reckoning is a contemporary middle grade novel set in a small town in the south and that deals with the complex issues of race and social justice.

Discarding a lot of products and services because I am more decidedly intentional about who I spend my hard-earned money with. I choose Black owned businesses and those companies that more align with my view and understanding about who we should be and who we need to be as a society. What about you?

I just wanted to thank Cheryl & Wade Hudson for their most wonderful book. I am so depressed over the re-election of Trump and don’t know what to do to feel better. But your book We Rise We Resist brought me up from my sadness and helped me to begin to take some action to make things better.

From Edith Campbell bringing together kidlit folks to share words and images to encourage, inspire and offer love to young people. The link to the article featured in School Library Journal is below. One of Cheryl's story quilts is also included.
