My wife listened to that podcast and kept giving me summaries. What a terrible thing that they did to children. I'm so glad ours was inclined to learn reading early with us.

I understand the impulse, but will identical twins who don't get along sue each other because of this? Or does the older twin have the rights to the likeness? What about celebrity look-a-likes, people who look like their parents, and other doppelgangers?

Beside T. Kingfisher, the authors I've been reading multiple books by in the past year or two are Victoria Goddard, Lois McMaster Bujold, and Marta Wells.

Call me cynical, I doubt they'll be more effective. Instead they will continue to ignore everyone but the 1%, and rig elections though everything from disenfranchisement (SAVE act), gerrymandering, to outright cheating (see DJT's remarks about Musk & "vote counting computers").
