I was born in 1976. As of the time of my oldest memory of baseball, Rickey Henderson was the greatest player in the game. He was the greatest showman of my youth. One of the 20 greatest players in the history of the sport. He really did seem like someone who could live forever. RIP Rickey.

Annual-ish chili is prepared and initial portions consumed. Turned out well. Ad libbed a little with the beans.
I find cooking something like this to be monumentally stressful. Not every time but often enough. So many things to consider and to keep track of and to get timing right.

Good Brookfielders we are, we spent the afternoon at Galloping Ghost where we found this insane machine from, I think, 1979. The world record is something like 460 points, which I’m pretty sure I could achieve, but I spent most of my time playing a different insane game called Pepper II.
