My fur, like many terrier breeds, doesn’t fall out on its own (or even with a brush). So twice a year I have the outer layer pulled out (stripped) so it can grow back properly. It doesn’t hurt at all and comes out easily with a gentle pull on a pinch of fur. This is my before/after from past Spring.
