This kind of thing happens every time. Victim blaming. It’s funny to see them scramble for shameful rhetoric this time though. If it were a black man the rhetoric would flow like water from a garden hose.

This is the reason health care costs have skyrocketed. Costs have to go up for insurers to post higher raw dollar earnings while the percentage of profit remains flat. Otherwise, their shares stay flat and nobody invests.

Many insurance companies spend a substantial portion of consumers’ premium dollars on administrative costs and profits, including executive salaries, overhead, and marketing.

The article is a tad old…

The problem with states as incubators for successful single-payer is that health care costs are a national issue.

The swing dancing between insurance companies and healthcare networks is what drives the absurd cost of healthcare in the United States.

Made up outrage for a made up holiday celebrating a made up deity with a made up character as a symbol courtesy of the Coca-Cola corporation. Yawn.

It just shows that the United States the Donald Trump and Stephen Miller types believe once existed, for which they pine for a mythical return, never existed at all.

Then come to the grim realization that your profitability in dollars (incoming premiums) is restricted by what you pay out in claims. Then see how fast your hospital starts jacking up prices because it’s the only way to create shareholder value.

There are a lot of assumptions in this series that don’t entirely add up.

But based on the more or less seemingly rhetorical nature of them. I’d say this.

First build a nonprofit hospital. Then start a private insurance company.

It is a relatively simple thing to do, unless considering the financial risks with an entire sector built around the insurance scheme.

But even with the economic impact of making a massive collection of private enterprises a nonprofit public service, the current model is unsustainable.

I’m no fan of this administration, but a lot of the articles about it have clickbait headlines.

The main thing that *may* make ICE powered vehicles less expensive is the cost requirement for manufacturers to buy carbon credits from companies like Tesla for ICE powered cars. That was silly anyway.

RFK Jr. always reminds me of every drunken knucklehead I’ve ever seen on a flight. Like he is half spilling a Bloody Mary walking down the aisle using headrests as a handrail.

It reminds me of Mariah Carey on Channel 4 back in 2009; completely oblivious that people have to pay for electricity.

It’s interesting the perspectives I see here. There’s a lot of “capitalism by default” thinking. The truth is, eventually no humans will work in the traditional sense, and no one will have want for anything they can’t have.

Actually I’m speaking the conventional wisdom of about 1935. There are just still too many people across every generation that will convince themselves they’ve chosen not to vote for a particular candidate on policy issues, when in truth it’s the candidate’s gender or ethnic background.

The amount of adoration for AOC that I have is immeasurable and I would vote for her at any level of government office.

The sad reality is that unless the Democratic Party can find a 45-55 year old white guy with a charismatic personality and a milquetoast agenda, they’ll never get in.
