Compassion is harm reduction too. Many people who use substances are estranged from their loved ones because of their use. Reaching out or accepting a request for connection might be the biggest gift you can give someone. Stay kind this holiday season and give the gift of compassion.🫂

People of all ages, circumstances, and experiences can be a caregiver. When it comes to overdose, a caregiver can be a family member or a friend in the community who steps in to provide life-saving naloxone. No matter what your history or experience is, we see caregivers through the eyes of RiVive.🩶

For us, it’s impossible to recognize Veterans Day without thinking about the need for compassionate harm reduction in the veteran community. As a group that's especially vulnerable to overdose risk, it’s important to ensure that naloxone is readily accessible. We see you through the eyes of RiVive.

One of HRT’s goals is to reduce the avoidance of naloxone. We believe that by making a compassionate dose that reduces the risk & intensity of precipitated withdrawal, people will be less likely to avoid naloxone or to use drugs alone. (cont. in comments)

When naloxone blocks the opioid from reaching the receptors in the brain, breathing is restored, the overdose is reversed, and a life is saved. But this is often a really difficult experience for the person who overdosed, especially when too high a dose of naloxone is used. (cont. in comments)

On World Mental Health Day, compassion is at the forefront of our minds.🩶 We can offer compassion with our words & actions. Choosing compassionate opioid overdose reversal with RiVive 3 mg may reduce the risk of precipitated withdrawal, which is a better option for those with mental health issues.

The most compassionate choice you can make is a low dose option like RiVive 3 mg naloxone nasal spray or a 0.4 mg/1ml intramuscular naloxone syringe to reverse an overdose. Let’s not make their experience more distressing by using too much naloxone.🤝
