Your relationship is already damaged. No European will trust the US for a long long time. It takes days/weeks to break up a relationship. It takes decades to build up trust.
Europe will slowly (its Europe) find its own path, and US will not be part of is.

Not sure that list good for much. Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark all lower on the list than than Israel, UK and USA, 3 countries that have chosen to selfdestruct.

Two party system. You dont vote for your dream but for the lesser evil... and when frustrations with the lesser evil get to high you end up with Trump and his like in charge.

80 free concessions atm. Only a few open mines. Greenland is open for business. US don’t need to control Greenland to get the minerals. Just open a business. But mining in Greenland is expensive due to lack of infrastructure and weather conditions.

Spending money on the military in the current situation is only a bad idea if you think dependency of the US is better for your country and people in the long run. I predict dependency means more privitisation, more power to the rich and weakening of your democracy. Specially when outside the EU.
