lovely to visit Toppings bookshop in Edinburgh today for @smillermcdonald.bsky.social to sign copies of his book Progress - a street over from where we used to live and the final edits were completed

I remember being similarly struck by the odd juxtaposition of rhino and manor house at Cotswolds Wildlife Park (pic from 2019) – I love how Rae Ferner-Rose uses this to muse on the environmental uncanny and the place of captive endangered species
