Luckily today teaching starts at 10 so I can leave the house at 8.15 and comfortably be at my desk for 9.15 to get ready. It is insane to me that I have to spend 30-45 minutes of my day commuting to gain 15 mins of in-office time.

Right now I’d take literally any topic in modern history. Anything.

At least I’ve developed empathy for peers who always hated teaching. It’s a v diff experience when you’re randomly allocated topics, have no say in pedagogy, delivery, assessments, only have a few hrs/yr w/students so can’t develop relationships, have to teach w/crappy VLEs you can’t even edit, etc.

I really enjoy seeing spaces where people have chosen what they want and what they need and absolutely gone for it.
