I've wrecked oppressive governments before in video games, but only in Half-Life 2 was it so *personal*.

The "pick up that can" moment is such excellent storytelling. I knew so much about what was happening to the world when the game made me participate in my own oppression with something so petty. I felt so small in that moment, and when the revolution ramped up, I was charged to burn it all down.
