People's needs for PCs have really plateaued, this CPU is from 2015. Had I put in 16GB of ram and a better SSD it would have been able to do anything today except running games.

Sad how many totally fine PCs that will do 100% of what people want, are just trashed.

Well, the Ultra 10 died while running VTS while I was having dinner and now again refuses to turn on. I'm guessing the next step would be to recap the board...

Well, good news and bad news. The power supply is solid at 3.3V, that's not it.

And VTS is generally showing no issues, memory and CPU seem to be testing fine.

So why is dtwm crashing for no apparent reason all the time... I did have a bunch of stability […]

The general consensus appears to be that the problem is almost certainly dead NVRAM batteries. Apparently having bad/unstable NVRAMs can lead to all sorts of weird and wonderful issues.

I ordered some new ones, so lets hope that that can fix it so I can still finish my #sunpci mini documentary […]
