done something different to avoid the incident, not PIA. After getting a very bad restart, ANT surely knew PIA was pretty much alongside him on the straight into T1; if he didn't, that only makes his move just as problematic.

he saw ANT beginning to turn in as if he didn't exist. The lockup didn't seem to prevent him from making the corner anyway, even without the contact with the rear of ANT's Merc. Calling that piece of driving "out of control" to justify the penalty would be outrageous.
