Just took a photo of these two earlier today at the National Portrait Gallery

And for additional context, these two are prominently displayed directly opposite each other

Common enough saying in america now regarding active shooters. For example I just pulled this off the FBI website.

I won't/can't comment on if it's good advice or not other that that I think I trust the people giving it.

Osaka Castle is pretty damn cool - I'm also a sucker for urban river walking trails and Osaka seems to have tons of those

A small stone memorial in the middle of a little bambo fenced area, surrounded by greenery. The stone is rough cut with a smooth face with Japanese characters A wooden sign with a sloped roof slightly resembling the silhouette of a house. The sign is in a lightly forested area. It has text in japanese and english. The english text says the following: From 1778 until the days of Hama-rikyu duck hunting was enjoyed on the kamoba (duck hunting sites) in the gardens. This monument was built by falconers in 1905, during the Hana-rikyudays, to pray for the repose of the souls of the ducks that were hunted there. A spotted brown duck with a black beak that has an orange tip. It has bright orange feet. It is standing on a rough rocky concrete wall with water in the background. There is a metal railing in the foreground.

To the poor bastard who parked your ebike outside 2025 M street NW, 3 kids just stole your bike.

idk man it was so smooth I didn't realize they were stealing it until the lock snapped in half. They levered the whole bike against the lock like a physics puzzle.

And uhh don't buy this lock guys.

I'm canceling. I'm tired of this habit where the Atlantic's writers room all stamp out the exact same article.

I have more examples but this & Bruenig's late to the party "4B bad" eyeroller were the last straws

I'm just bored! Should I have canceled for better reasons? Maybe!
