2016 Usseglio & Fils Cuvée Girard Chateauneuf du Pape |
90% Grenache, rest a blend of other permitted varieties.
All red fruit & pepper/spices. Hella tannic/hella acid. Great structure, needs more time/air.
$50. Paired with lamb/steak.
Definitely too young, but still enjoyable.

But then, of course, at distance, the iPhone is ass, and my DSLR could’ve snapped amazing images of this Bald Eagle, Red Shouldered Hawk, and a mockingbird.
Overall a fantastic first time birding, can’t wait until we can do it again

Birding is much more relaxing with just a phone and binoculars, the pressure of having the heavy ass lens and camera ready to go for a rare moment —-
