How many states can pick up the slack? We only have seven donor states: CA, CO, CT, MA, NJ, NY, and UT. If you live in one of those states, they’re wealthy enough to help you. The rest will likely turn into humanitarian crises.

How will oversight work with virtually no agency left? How long will seniors and the disabled have to languish when there’s an error?

The Republican Administration is making a big show of countering waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government, although they’ve found almost nothing and the things “they found” were already addressed by the Biden administration.

I became disabled in Sept. 2020. It took 21 months for my case to be adjudicated. At that point, monthly payments began but it took another seven months and Congressional intervention for the back pay to be released.

Wow - that’s going to be an uphill battle but it’s awesome they’re taking meaningful steps to change the workaholic culture. We need that here too.
