I promise I've been hard at work with the levels outside of the village. First time making (ice) caves. I was a little scared ngl but it's getting somewhere.

She has a mushroom hat too so no wonder she's called mushroom girl.

It's been so long since I wanted to reveal the mushrooms but here they are (+ a bonus flower).
They're platforms to jump onto so they're relatively big. Can't wait to show them in the actual environment but it's gonna be a while until the reveal😭

a giant blue flower with a dark green stem. The flower head is sphere shaped with small petals only slightly protruding. A big flower head is at the top and tiny ones are sprouting along the stem. The flower has long sparsely places leafs. In front of the flower is a small star shaped mushroom and there's a white vine coming from the bottom of the plant, making it's way all around the plant until it stops right at the big top flower head. Relatively classic mushroom with a flat round head that's light yellow with darker yellow specks placed throughout. The bottom is a bit pear shaped, also light yellow but with darker brown grooves. There are three of these mushrooms: Just the top part, a smaller but straight mushroom and one that's biggest and slightly bent so you can place it at the side of a tree. one flat round mushroom that grows on trees and another one that's made up of three spheres but fused. The underside is light green while the top is bright red with darker red holes throughout. Looks slightly like a pomegranate two light teal colored mushrooms that look like cushions or poufs. One has a stem that's a purple color and looks a bit like the bottom part of a spring onion.

Ohh it's #pitchyagame time!

We're 2 devs working on a #platformer about a little girl that goes on an adventure to catch fireflies for her village festival.
For this year's journey she made herself a hair glider and well...
She might need some help to get back home now.

I'm the artist of a programmer/artist duo working on a little 3D platformer. It's about a girl who uses her hair and some sticks as a glider to fly around the world and search for fireflies for her village. This is how it looks so far.
A little girl with light blue fluffy hair is standing at a river looking at a tiny round house, some trees and mountains in the distance. It's autumn so the trees are already a lush red color and the grass that covers the entire valley is starting to look more yellow. Next to the house is a makeshift fence to keep some chicken although the fence isn't actually that good at its job. The chickens tend to escape all the time. The art style of the picture is quite painterly with all textures being hand painted and only soft shadows in place. It looks slightly 2D or at least that was what I was aiming for. Another slightly closer look at the little girl. She has sticks in her hair which she can use to spread it and make it into a glider. She also likes to use it to transport stuff. In this screenshot she is inside a giant tent that looks like it's glowing in a lighter reddish color because of the last rays of sunlight shining through. It was set up over a pond with lots of smaller koi fishes, lily pads and water lilies. It's at the far end of the girl's village and the last point you will visit before gliding down into a new world.

Today I finished this more humanoid NPC. She's a wind spirit but she's been wearing a mushroom hat for so long that its spores have started to grow into more mushrooms all over her upper body.

We're working on a "dialogue only" map for our game. In this map we write and stage all our dialogues without the actual gameplay. This way we can get a good estimate of how much time you spend playing vs. talking to NPCs to find a good balance.

And now we have bubble gates to pick the bubbles up and we can tell any object to be a bubble burster (the waterlillies in this quick test).
Still lots of VFX missing but we're working on it💪

I think I can say that the mouth animation of Norbert is without a doubt my best work so far. I don't know if I'll ever be able to top that.

Also I'm sorry for the animation he does if you don't feed him in time. I didn't mean to make it that heart breaking.😭
