Part of the reason is probably sales and current role in the zeitgeist but the former don't even have the general reputation of the latter. No one mocks Bourne fans the way they do Twilight fans. Not saying that they should, but if you're doing to one, do it to the other too

Idk if it's because it's easier to get fantasy published as YA but I just wish there were more meat on the bones of these cool story and worldbuilding ideas but instead it typically results in tropey, trite and boring books
