Howie passed away peacefully, with dignity, and in comfort. I hope that our message continues to resonate with the world. Crabs are sentient and feel pain. Never boil crabs or any animal alive. Howie was old, and this was the natural end to her extraordinarily long life.

I've been missing Howie eating like this. This was last year. I'm hoping she'll start eating against this week so I don't worry as much. If you missed our post yesterday, Howie's eating has slowed down to a crawl. All of which is normal for her impending molt this spring. #howiethecrab

We're back from our two week break. Howie is beginning to snub her favorite foods. She does this while she's trying to kick pre-molt into gear. I'm still estimating that her molt will be in May (about 11 months from her previous molt.)
