Agreed. My friend’s products sell for $5-$15. He says it would take him 2-3 years to build a plant here at a cost of several million dollars and then the products would have to retail for $20-$35. Both would put him out of business but the tariffs will likely have the same ultimate effect.

Not that you’re wrong about the ultra-wealthy, but I have a friend who owns a very small company that sells injection molded items made in China among other things. Even if he could make them here, which is not currently possible, the cost would be prohibitive. He doesn’t want to but has no choice

I think "literally" is more apt

I'm not blaming them. I said personal isolation contributed. I think that's undeniable. We don't know if friends, neighbors and grown up children cut contact, or they cut contact with these people. Either way that had a part in the tragedy, which I do recognize happens too often across the country.
