And you slap your numb face just to get the blood flowing again.

A lot of people say they wouldn't have helped him - but I bet they would have. Could you really just watch someone die (even if he is an asshole) when you could save him? I think we're better than that. ("On the road to Jericho..." and all that.) And I doubt it's just a Minnesota Nice thing.

Somebody buy the guy a globe.

Dollars to doughnuts Minnesota's Attorney General Keith Ellison took his oath of office on a Quran and nobody in Minnesota gave a shit. Grow up, people!

I've always imagined folks like Gabe go to churches where when Cain answers God's question "Where is Abel thy brother?" with "Am I my brother's keeper?" The congregation must say "Amen, brother Cain! You tell him. It was God that made you kill Abel. Don't let him put that on you!"

Is there any way you could lure Trump into the House Chamber?

Anybody have a link to the GOP Pro-King counter demonstrations?

You gotta wonder what part of "No Kings" they disagree with.

Bicycle gangs! The worst.

Amen, brother Kevin. Preach!

Nobody goes to our parks anymore; they're too crowded. (With apologies to Yogi Berra.)

I'm sure ICE will return the favor and give 72 hours notice to any establishment that they intend to raid.
June 19, 2025 at 3:01 PM
Another note. The police used the presence of the "No Kings" fliers as an indication that he planned to go after people at the protests, which is one of the reasons that encouraged people not to attend. I followed the Kevin Kruse principle though: "Fuck you. Make me!"

With you 100% except for one detail: In Minnesota, we don't register as being affiliated with any particular political party. I'm sure he has left a trail of associations with right-wing anti-abortion causes but you can't get that from his voter registration.

In public that's true but privately he loses his shit when he's disrespected. That's why he's spent the last 5 months going after all the people and institutions that aren't properly bending the knee. Somebody's going to pay for today's debacle. Let's hope that it's Hegseth.
June 15, 2025 at 12:41 AM
My thoughts, too. Better Hegseth's head on a platter than troops on the streets of some blue city.

Someone's going to pay the price for Trump's embarrassment. He's going to throw a hissy fit for sure. Even he can't lie to himself about what a humiliation this is. BTW Twin Cities No Kings turnout was fantastic. Even after the murders, people packed the capitol mall.
June 14, 2025 at 11:36 PM
Remember Trump's college degree is a BS in economics.

If she's going to be there, I think I'll pass on the eternal life thing. Although I guess that would be my hell, wouldn't it? Damn!
May 31, 2025 at 10:08 PM
While they're at it, why don't they square the circle, too?

When I was growing up we often got our milk from the farmer's bulk tank - but I don't remember my mother ever staring into anyone's eyes, bovine or human. Seems kind of creepy to this farm boy. Usually there was nobody around. You filled your jug & put the money in a jar sitting on top the tank.

AI or not, certainly no brain cells were damaged in the making of that list.
