I work in theatre and the cutting of theatre studies (rather than just drama) for A Level is a disgrace. I work in marketing in live entertainment now because of a really good solid academic A Level.

My daughter is autistic and can totally read a room - it's just certain behaviours she finds difficult to grasp and gets very drained after a lot of socialising. This is utter bullshit and doesn't help.

I always reckon the upswing comes after the dip. Careers go - huge then backlash (aka disappearing up ones own drug addled bum) then rediscovering what made you good but with added wisdom. Then, the final chapter, lauded by the youngsters two generations behind so even your crap stuff becomes cool.
