CRAFTY GOODIES! Gorgeous Liberty of London fabric-covered embroidery hoops, Tatty Devine’s sewing machine necklace, Tofts crochet kits, and old-school fashion plate makers are favorites with my friends who sew (which is most of my friends).

Give a Pendleton blanket, a Shinola watch, a Heath Ceramics vase, or Kei & Molly dish towels--or make someone’s whole year with a National Parks Service annual pass.

SHOES! They’re my go-to baby shower gift (everyone gets TONS of clothes) but I also love to give fun shoes at the holidays: custom Vans, cozy Uggs, rain boots in their favorite color, or cute Converse Mary Janes. If you’re worried about fit, choose a brand they already wear--and get a gift receipt.
