I'm just a guy that loves working out, growing cacti & succulents and utterly devastating my mental health by keeping up to date with current events.
4) If you want to try growing succulents in an arid terrarium, it is hard to go wrong with an Aloeworthia 'black gem' planted directly underneath (within 30cm or so) a *full spectrum* plant light like an Arcadia Jungle Dawn. Keep light on 9 hours a day, allow substrate to dry fully between watering.

3) Therefore, for that reason you should choose plants that thrive in these 'optimal conditions' and not necessarily the species of plants native to the reptile's range.

2) A vivarium should maintain the optimal conditions for the reptile, not necessarily its natural habitat (no droughts, monsoons, cold snaps etc). Optimal conditions for a reptile might be the 'tolerate it until the weather improves' conditions for the plant and vice versa.

Really well put! I have been thinking that it's exactly like that in both the best, and worst, ways lol

I did this! Practiced on an old laptop, eventually put it on my work PC. I really like the lack of bloatware, but as a left-handed illustrator with a display tablet, it feels like Linux hates me personally. I will figure out if I can fix (or live with it) but I do miss when things just worked.

Can confirm it germinates easily - I planted some at the allotment some years ago and now it pops up in all of my raised beds lol

I have been banging the "they are just rage baiting you for engagement. this is the business model that keeps them afloat. it's you engaging with their obvious bait. week in, week out" drum for like a decade now.

And you all keep just ignoring it lol. what's the point in banging the drum anymore?

I've had this happen with several geckos now. My leopard gecko is downright unmanageable because if I so much as touch the glass she bolts out of her hide and proceeds to get in the way of anything I'm trying to do in there lol
I cannot imagine the chaos and pandemonium if this were a tokay lmao

As a veteran of the tarantula hobby, I feel your pain!!

You've perfectly articulated what I've been absolutely losing my mind over for some time now. I'm so tired. I just want to enjoy things but every single thing I love has just turned in to a gold rush. Some things always kind of were, but its ubiquitous now

I switched to Tidal several months ago and I can vouch for it. I'm not a big music guy though, so that doesn't mean much lol
I do really miss having all of my music, audio books and podcasts in one place, so it is more expensive for me to leave Spotify but of course I won't be going back.

I'm having a rough day, I don't know why but this cheered me up a little. Spider very good

This! I have been trying (and failing) to articulate this for years and you've absolutely nailed it in one paragraph!! This is why I love Neil Breen films.

That's incredibly beautiful!!

Ours is extremely well behaved, but I still jump if I startle him and he barks because I'm never prepared for how loud he is lol
