Printed a batch of Skadis filament brackets to get my spools off the desk and onto the wall 🎯

Still can’t nail lighting for white PLA though…

Tried getting really close for this timelapse of a simple photo booth.

White PLA reflected way more light than expected, so it’s a bit overexposed 🔆

Another unedited timelapse.

This pistachio bowl design is beautiful.

Light reflections flicker in the early layers — just the change in print line direction catching the light differently.

Forgot to disable the printer’s onboard light 😅
Automation is nice and all that... until it ruins your lighting setup!

Still, a clean print of the Gridfinity Zip Lock box. Came out nice. Welcome addition to the drawer.

A good timelapse this time for an Elgato Key Light Mini Gridfinity bin. Visible shrinkage lines though, and interesting lighting shifts when the top layers closed off the interior.

Quick release plate for my DSLR tripod.

You’ll see those “flashing” bands again — light bouncing differently off alternating layer directions.

Hard to fix without compromising strength, but it’s a small tradeoff for a solid part.

Needed a quick shoe horn for my son’s football boots ⚽

Lovely print, but I should’ve shot it vertically — my A1 Mini’s rising print head pushes the object up out of frame. Still got so much to learn! 😅

Unedited timelapse:

Chunky latch for my Gridfinity pred cases.
Focus was slightly off again (and lighting too 😅). Every print I'm a step closer to mastering the focus and lighting.

But the model? Super satisfying click!

Unedited timelapse.

Testing a thicker nozzle on this 1x1 bin. Trying to reduce print time without losing quality.

Chasing the sweet spot between speed and detail. The difference in surface texture is subtle, but it's there.

Unedited timelapse.

Tried a macro lens on this Gridfinity 1x1 square print. Focusing on something that doesn’t exist yet was trickier than expected 😅

Still, it’s wild how satisfying these tiny prints look up close.

I printed a bunch of these spool holders for the IKEA SKADIS peg boards over the weekend.

Time to organise my filament.

Well, time to randomly throw them on a wall, but... that's still progress, right?

This was quite a nice timelapse... but I still need to tweak a few things. I thought using a concentric pattern would result in less "flicker" at the beginning - but no.

Still work to do.

One thing I'm trying to improve in my timelapses is how the light bounces off differently orientated layer lines.

The "flashing" at the start of this one is a perfect example.

Working on so many projects just now and I needed to use an old tripod. But... none of my quick release plates fit! 🤯

Oh, not to worry... we have 3d printers! 🤣 💪

Using gridfinity is the best way to organise your IKEA ALEX drawers... it's perfect!

You too can organise your drawers with gridfinity. 3d printing is not as complex as you may think!

Simple gridfinity bin for my Anker battery. Stored in my IKEA ALEX drawers.

Anyone can create custom gridfinity bins, particularly for simple objects! 3d printing is not as complex as it first appears.
