100%. (Also works if the protagonist is a villain - their journey usually has a definitive ending in a Bond film.)

Yeah, absolutely the why. Helps keep all parties working towards a common goal.

Most of those things are up to an artist, no? I agree writers need to avoid static conversations, but their job is to incorporate activity into the dialogue scenes, switch up the settings, that sort of thing. Some artists don't appreciate being told what angles to use! (Not me, I'm a sweetheart.)

I think in the case of projects where 100s (or, in the case of the Marvel stuff, probably 1000s) of people were making it, it's easier to ignore one massive wanger, as they're very likely not the main reason you're enjoying it. That's harder to do with smaller projects/solo efforts (for me, anyway).

I'm always grateful when people properly introduce themselves, even if I actually remember their names (not necessarily a given) - normalising it saves a whole lot of awkwardness for when I don't.

I have a Patreon which has a free tier where I post sketches most days and make occasional announcements (it's basically my "newsletter" as far as that goes, seems redundant to have two separate platforms that do the same job). Here it is!

We should probably do this at cons, really.

Thanks, I’ve been wondering if I should investigate but I’m not sure it would make a difference in my case. Good to know.

I confess I don't understand how the Patreon newsletter is different from a regular Patreon post - you get both sent to your email anyway, don't you?

The Phantom (you're probably already aware of this) is HUGE in Australia and New Zealand. So I'd probably be up for one. (I can't speak for the other 7,999 attendees, obviously.)
