Yeah honestly and I do give points for trying a different direction but the studio that did Metroid Dread really nailed the balance. Samus was alone for the most part but there were two cranky old bird men trying to get involved and it was pretty alright!

Honestly I thought even the other hunters in Metroid Prime 3 were kind of pushing it? I kind of prefer Samus being alone aside from the occasional chozo or her computer. But that's just me. Metroid's kinda the last Nintendo IP I care enough about to wanna play but idk about MP4
