but i agree with your larger point, there is a lot to be pessimistic about in the world today.

i hope to see more people having faith/trust that things can get better.

Faith - complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

i try to lean on the trust part of faith for things i hope have positive outcomes, without necessarily having confidence they will succeed.

this way i can avoid being pessimistic about things that need support.
