New growth is red then slowly turns dark. I bought it as a tiny pup from etsy. Never seen one in a shop labeled ‘Black Cardinal’ though. Perhaps it’s actually ‘Congo Red’?

Hoya rotundiflora, teeny tiny fuzzy leaves! My most unusual Hoya, the leaves are dark green and squoval, thick and slightly wrinkly with the smallest amount of fuzz. Hoya curtisii leaves are small and splashy. The new leaves are freaking adorable!

Hoya macrophylla. A little slow growing compared to my others but I think it’s finally time to update the trellising. Hoya ‘Krimson Princess’ new growth is so pink and so pretty!! Very glossy too

Peach and white bearded iris and purple phlox in my garden, both highly fragrant. The iris smells like peaches! A giant magenta tree peony that’s bigger than my hand! It contrasts perfectly with the lime green foliage. Inflorescence of Aesculus X carnea, the red Horse Cheatnut. A conical cluster of bright pink and yellow flowers with long stamens Syringa vulgaris ‘Sensation’. The blooms of this lilac are purple with white picotee and smell incredible!

Here’s an updated photo for one of the two pineapples we grew for Plant Sale! After enjoying fresh pineapple from the grocery store we save the tops and plant them. It takes a long time to fruit but it’s so fun to watch! Available THIS WEEKEND at Grounds for Sculpture @gfs-nj.bsky.social May 3/4 🌱
A baby pineapple! The background is blurred but if you look closely you can almost make out the second one in the upper left! It won’t get huge, but will be ready to harvest this season. I’ve never tasted a sweeter, juicier pineapple than home grown. No acid just sweet sweet sunshiny goodness. mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Malus ‘White Cascade’ is a weeping cultivar of crabapple. The buds are bright pink when tight and open white, making the canopy look like clouds of frothy cotton candy.

But wait, check this out! Pebbles is a Hyla versicolor, meaning they change color. I got to see that today after getting the boot from the greenhouse. Same frog, 10 minutes apart! 🌱🐸 #frog
