The corner of the basement couch was Crystal's favorite place to nap. When she got too old to jump up, we took off the cushion to make it easier to get on the sofa. Her ashes are going to rest here until springtime when we can give her a proper burial.

It's the end of the growing season. I dismantled my Dutch bucket hydroponic system (luckily, my supervisor was there to help). Sad to see it go. It was very successful for a first attempt. I definitely will try it again next year. #hydroponic #garden #dogs

in light of the kimmel news, just a reminder that a few days ago a prominent fox news host literally called for killing homeless people. right afterward, someone shot up a couple homeless encampments.

Each year I grow a different type of corn. This year I planted Strawberry Popcorn. The plants were very small and underdeveloped, so I turned off the irrigation a few weeks ago. But, to my surprise, the plants produced perfect tiny strawberry shaped ears. Now, to see if they pop!

Newport OR sea lion docks. The boys hang out here 11 months of the year (in July they go to Southern CA to visit the girls who live there full time). So much barking, belching and wrangling for a spot to nap. #Oregon
