I'll have more knitting needles and crochet hooks yarn ball ornaments for sale. And we made new business card holders that look like our drop spindle whorls! I've been continuing to hand-quilt the Crowning Star EPP quilt as well.

6 of our 9nsheep were sheared last week. I'll be endeavoring to process a bunch of their fleeces after Christmas.

I'm terrible about posting everywhere. From working on a custom fabric commission after West War to Autumn War to having the sheep sheared to prepping for 6-7 more shows through the rest of the year, I've been busy!

It's OK to shun people who are willing to harm others. Free speech does not mean free of consequences.

2 new skeins of handspun finished in time for the Rockridge Country Market tomorrow (April 26). We'll be there 11am to 3pm with many other small local businesses. Shop artisans and veggies in one place! #smallbusiness #fiberarts

Meet Finnegan! He is a 4mo Aussie Shepherd/Black Lab cross, and we just brought him home on Sunday. He arrived on a transport from TX on Saturday, so he has had kind of a rough couple of days. But he is napping and resting and playing lots here now! He has even met the sheep. #dogs

Skirting fleeces today to make room for the 9 fleeces that will be sheared on Friday. It may even become roving in time for Shepherds' Extravaganza in a couple of weeks. #wool #fiberarts #sustainablefarming #sheep

And I now have a couple more non-holiday Moravian stars available! These are handsewn English paper-pieced ornaments using 60wt card, quilting fabric, and a little polyfil for added stability.

This was one of the secret commissions I've been working on, and part of the reason why I wasn't posting anything. The friend who commissioned these picked the yarn color, but wanted me to surprise her with the pattern.

Once again, I've forgotten to post here regularly. Life has been...lifey. So I'll be doing a bit of catching up today. First, the bad news. We lost our 14yo Icelandic Sheepdog, Stig, at the beginning of the month (cancer). Due to many reasons we are now starting to entertain the idea of another dog.

And one of the secret projects is finished and has been gifted! My friend has Xoloitzcuintlis (like the Disney movie Coco), thus the fabric choices. It was hard to find good Aztec-inspired fabrics!

Decisions, decisions! The green shawl was my one easy travel project. All my other projects need more focus to work on. Heading to the Sew Expo in Puyallup tomorrow and am feeling anxious about not having a travel project. Now to decide between handspun and Jadawoo Designs neon gorgeousness!

Still around! It's just that both of my primary projects right now are secrets, and both fabulous recipients follow my pages. There will be reveal photos eventually!

You haven't bought yarn today. Good job.

You should reward yourself with yarn. 🧶🧶🧶

I've just had an incredibly adventurous few days on the movie set in Enumclaw! I wish I had taken a few photos as proof that it was real. Huge respect for everyone I interacted with and who supported so many fellow local businesses. I'm also excited about some potential new connections as well. Eee!

Happy sheep in the sun. We still miss Cotton and his distinctive baa. We're keeping a closer eye on our other elderly sheep as well to make sure they're getting the extra calories they need (like today's bananas!). #sheeplove #woolonthehoof #woolgrowers

Some images of the latest works in progress. There are a couple of photos I can't share because they are surprises, but fleece processing, quilting, knitting commissions, and snow persist in spite of stressful items that have been taking up most of this week.

Some unfortunate news to share this morning. RIP, our sweet and spicy Cotton. This is always the hardest part of sheep farming.

Working today on applying the sheep to the coat!

It looks a little like Grogu, but I am ridiculously pleased with this first sheep, which will go on my Viking coat along with 8 others. Hopefully by next weekend.

I've been working on a lot of personal projects, late Christmas gifts (2 more!), and commissions since Victorian Country Christmas. This applique flower is from the Fields of Fancy block of the month quilt. It started in October, so I'm slowly catching up.
