Fair point. I like the comparison. Made a lot of money in real estate too, if I’m right, with an interesting business model.

Guardiola is enormously overrated. He’s won lots of trophies but at clubs that would expect to. The team’s he’s managed have not over performed relative to expectations (based on player salaries). The best that can be said is he hasn’t failed.

It’s not a question of do they sound good live though. It’s are they doing something new. Byrne for all that I don’t like everything he does, never repeats himself. That said I’d buy tickets for a Talking Heads reunion tour, particularly a Stop Making Sense repeat, in a heartbeat.

At the moment the government is too busy trying to sabotage the UK economy by following Reform’s lead on immigration. I have totally lost hope in the current government doing anything other than making things worse.

We need a keeper willing to catch balls when jumping against someone. Pope always punches (often poorly) unless completely unchallenged.

These are the games the better teams win. It may be because I used to play in goals (to no great standard) but I look at our keeper. Good shot stopper but positioning is suspect and you just know he will never absorb pressure. Put enough balls in the box and he will fold.

Forgive the long train of thought but having calmed down I feel the following. All teams play badly at times but good teams (the teams we wish to finish ahead of) find a way to get a result. Vs West Ham and Brentford we were ahead, played badly and lost.

I’ve now had time to calm down after yesterday. I think ultimately we were overrun in midfield. This is usually our strength. Not being able to control midfield is a real problem.

To be fair Ramsey got on early yesterday and was as bad as everyone else. I think they get the chance to redeem themselves for everything they’ve done over the past couple of seasons. We were poor again yesterday. We need to just put it right. I trust Howe to do that.

Kind of raging about this. The edit was totally unnecessary. His actions and words were damning. Now he has a distraction to use. Really clueless from whoever was responsible at Panorama.

Haven’t played the game in about 25 years but it used to drive me madder than real football. You’d absolutely batter teams and lose 1-0 but never the other way round.
