He studies how media and communication shape people’s lives, with a strong focus on social media, mental health, and AI in the workplace (ERC-funded).

Great news from FAU: Ferdinand Knieling from our Children’s Hospital has been appointed professor!

He pioneered a new method for non-invasive muscle imaging using Multispectral Optoacoustic Tomography (MSOT), advancing it from lab to human studies.
